the holiday season means 2 things: gold eye shadows and red lips.
p.s. i didn't include any of my face makeup (concealer, powder, blush, bronzer, eyebrows, etc.) but if you want me to just let me know and i would be more than happy to! also, you don't need the exact products i used to achieve this look; anything similar works just as well!
hey everyone! today i am super excited to share my favorite makeup look for the holiday season! i'm using the naked 2 palette on my eyes and a deep red lipstick from mac on my lips!
let's get started!
then i went in with the most famous shade from the palette: tease. its a really nice matte taupe color. i used this on a big fluffy brush and applied it to my crease and also dragged it down so that it created a v shape in my outer corner of my lid. don't worry about the colors looking harsh right now because we will blend them all together later... |
now in this next picture the lighting obviously changed (whoops, hahah) but this is a more accurate look at how the colors show up. i went in with the shimmery champagne color called bootycall and used it as a highlight in the inner corner of my eye. this part isn't as noticeable, but adds a really nice touch to the entire look: i went in with the color foxy which is a matte creamy color (very natural) and popped that right underneath my brows to act as a transition color. and to officially finish the eyes i went in with my favorite mascara at the moment (neutrogena healthy lengths in brown black) and applied that to my top and bottom lashes. final eye look! | finally, i blended it all together in no particular way with a giant fluffy brush! (that's by far my favorite part hahaha). i used a brown gel liner instead of black to give my eyes a softer look. i created a very small wing at the end just to spice it up a little! side note: if your gold color is starting to look a little dull by now (like mine) from all the blending, you can definitely add a little bit more to revive it some! (does revive make any sense in that sentence???) at this point i also put a tiny amount of tease underneath my lash line to balance out the darkness of my eyes and to create a slight shadow under my eyes. |
and that's the end of my first makeup post!
i really hope you guys enjoyed this post (it took me a super long time to put together!) and let me know if you want more posts like this!?!? i L-O-V-E this look for the holiday season; the warm golden eyes and the bold red lip just create a perfect mixture that screams CHRISTMAS!
